Outlook OST-file is not backed up

You have backed up your user files via the 'Backup'-tab in NovaBACKUP. You are using the option 'Backup opened files" (-> Windows Shadowcopy Service, VSS, is used for this). The created backup file does not contain your *.OST files from Microsoft Outlook.
Microsoft has not designated *.OST files to be backed up since the email server usually holds all contained data. If you want to force these files to be backed up anyways, you need to alter the Windows registry. In the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToSnapshot, delete the keys for the specific *.OST files you want to back up.
