Using Microsoft OneDrive with NovaBACKUP v16.5 and above

NOTE: If you are using Windows 10 and NovaBACKUP and want to utilize OneDrive with NovaBACKUP then read the note at the bottom of this KB article for special assistance there.
First of all it is REQUIRED to have Microsoft OneDrive client software installed on the system along with NovaBACKUP. Download and then install the Microsoft OneDrive client software via this link, if you have not done so yet, on the PC with NovaBACKUP installed on it.
Install the Microsoft OneDrive client software and then exit out of NovaBACKUP software and then re-launch NovaBACKUP. In NovaBACKUP, when you go to set your backup destination path for where to store the backup in question you will select "OneDrive" or "SkyDrive" (which is the same thing as "OneDrive"). If you are using Windows 10 as your Operating System then you will not directly see the "OneDrive" or "SkyDrive" object in the list of items, even with the OneDrive client software installed properly. If that is the case and you are using Windows 10 OS with NovaBACKUP then you will have to set your backup destination path which will be your root OneDrive folder, which in most cases would be C:\Users\Your.Username\OneDrive\. Save the job after that is done.
The backup sets (.NBD files) that are created to that folder will be synced using the OneDrive client itself once NovaBACKUP is done creating the backup set to that folder. Remember this is a file sync that OneDrive is doing of the NovaBACKUP file level backup set (.NBD file).
Watch the video that we have on using file-sync services like Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive here:
NOTE: If using Windows 10 Operating System with NovaBACKUP then NovaBACKUP will not see the "OneDrive" selection directly from the supported device list for the destination storage location. You can still utilize OneDrive with the software by selecting the root folder of OneDrive which is usually "C:\Users\your.username\OneDrive\". Save your job and run it. Other Operating Systems do NOT have that issue with any version of NovaBACKUP. You can go directly to OneDrive as a device for the destination location in the other Operating Systems with NovaBACKUP running on them. You 100% will be required however to have the Microsoft OneDrive client software installed already on that system along with NovaBACKUP software to support setting OneDrive as your destination storage device in NovaBACKUP for file level backup operations. If you have just finished installing OneDrive client software you will be 100% required to exit out of NovaBACKUP software and re-launch NovaBACKUP to see that device, and it won't be directly seen if you are running NovaBACKUP v17.x in Windows 10 OS.
